Facilities & schools
45 minutes. Up to 90 athletes. One session.
That's the real brief for most school, union and club strength and conditioning coaches.
We design the equipment, the station count, and the flow of the gym around it, so a full team gets through a session, safely, without a bottleneck.
Designed for what the sport on the field actually demands
A gym designed for your squad, not a generic equipment list.
We design and build high-performance gym facilities for schools, unions, clubs and universities — sport-specific stations. Sized for a team throughput, and equipment manufactured in-house to handle daily use by 30 to 90 athletes at a time.
This isn't a catalogue you tick boxes from, it's a facility built around the sport, the squad size, and the time a coach actually has.
Most school and club gyms are built the way the previous coach happened to build them, often carried over from whatever a powerlifting background or a generic commercial-gym layout suggested, rather than designed for what the sport on the field actually demands.
We start from the other direction: what does this team need to train, how many of them need to move through a session, and how much time do you have to do it in.
The result is equipment and a layout that mimics what's actually happening on the field, the court or the track — not a room for doing biceps in front of a mirror.
Four conversations before we design a single station.
Every facility starts the same way — with your coaching staff, not a spec sheet.
1.
We sit down with your coaching staff
Not a form to fill in - an actual conversation about what you're training for, who's training, and what's not working with the current setup.
2.
We work out your sport ratio.
A facility built primarily for rugby and netball is laid out differently to one built for soccer and swimming - the equipment mix and the station count both follow from that ratio, not the other way round.
3.
We size the stations to your numbers
How many athletes need to move through in your 30–45 minute window decides how many stations you need and how the room needs to flow - quick transitions, no queuing, no bottleneck at the one machine everyone needs.
4.
We install, walk your staff through it, and stay close
Delivery and installation are quoted as part of your project. Our installation team sets everything up on-site and runs through it with your coaching staff. How long we stay on-site afterwards, from a walkthrough to a day or two, is scoped to your project.
Not just filling floor space
Why we won't just sell you a standard gym.
Every piece of equipment we put in a facility earns its place for a reason -usually one most buyers haven't been told. Take the nervous system: a station exists in a facility layout to deload the nervous system between higher-intensity work, not just to fill floor space. Skip that, and a squad's conditioning plan doesn't hold up over a season.
Or take something as basic as where force comes from. Powerlifting generates force out of the heels - most off-the-shelf gym equipment is built around that assumption by default, because it's the easiest thing to copy from a commercial gym.
Sport generates force out of the ball of the foot. That's not a small difference; it changes what a station should be designed to train.
"It's not about ignorance — there's just no education for it. Sometimes a coach will go on with what the previous guy did, or the guy was a powerlifter and now he's using powerlifting stuff. But powerlifting generates force out of the heels, where sport is out of the ball of your foot."
Werner Dreyer, Founder
This is also why we ask about your sport before we talk equipment at all. The same principle that shapes every product we build for rugby, netball, hockey or athletics applies just as much to how a whole facility is laid out.
We build our relationship with the institution, not just the individual.
Coaches change. Your facility shouldn't have to.
Coaching staff turn over, a coach who built out your gym moves on, and the next one sometimes wants to rip it out and start again. We build our relationship with the institution, not just the individual, so when that happens we can speak to what's already there and why, instead of a new coach undoing a season's worth of investment because it's unfamiliar to them.
"Gym equipment is not something you buy every year. You have to buy right the first time."
Werner Dreyer, Founder
That's also why every attachment and upgrade we build is designed to bolt onto equipment you already own rather than force a replacement. A facility's equipment should be able to grow and adapt with a new coach's programme, not get thrown out because of one.
Every union in South Africa has some of our equipment.
From school first-team gyms to professional union high-performance centres — including the Springboks' conditioning setup — our equipment is built to handle daily use across full squads, not just showroom conditions.
We're also very involved in the netball scene, and expanding into hockey and athletics on the same principle: the equipment is designed around the human body, and the loading and movements carry across sport with the right adjustments.
The equipment behind the layout.
Every facility is different, but most builds draw from four groups. Sized and specced to your station count and sport ratio, not sold off a fixed package list.
Rigs & Multi-station Racks
Volume & Throughput Equipment
Sport-specific Stations
Make it uniquely yours
The full setup from day one, not year one, two and three.
A high-performance centre build is a significant purchase, and we'd rather help you get the complete setup you actually need now than watch a facility get built out piecemeal over several years because the budget was staged that way by default.
We offer flexible payment options on facility and high-performance centre builds so you can get every station your sport ratio and squad size calls for from the start — talk to us about what structure works for your budget and your school or union's financial year.
Frequently asked questions
How is a facility build different from just buying gym equipment?
We start with your coaching staff, your sport ratio, and how many athletes you need to move through a session — the equipment and station count follow from that, rather than being sold as a fixed package.
How many athletes can this handle in a single session?
We design facilities to run 30 to 90 athletes through a 30–45 minute session, which is the real constraint most school and union strength and conditioning coaches work under. Station count and gym flow are sized to your numbers specifically.
Is this only for rugby?
No. We're heavily involved in rugby, but also in the netball scene, and we're expanding into hockey and athletics on the same principles. Equipment designed around the human body and how force is generated for that sport.
Do you offer payment options for facility builds?
Yes. We'd rather help you get the full setup from the start than see it staged out over several years by default.
Do you install the equipment and train our coaching staff?
Yes, on request. Delivery, installation and training are quoted separately. Our dedicated installation team sets everything up and walks your coaching staff through it, and how long we stay on-site is scoped to your project. If you’d rather do it yourself, every piece comes with an installation guide you can follow or hand to your own handyman.
What happens when our coaching staff changes?
We build our relationship with the institution, not just one coach.
What's the warranty on facility equipment?
Same as everything we build: manufacturing defects are repaired or replaced, and equipment that's been abused is repaired as cost-efficiently as possible rather than refused outright. See Warranty for the full policy.
We have something specific in mind that's not a standard station — can you build it?
Yes — that's what our Custom Builds service is for. See Custom Builds & Rehab
